Add a Site to IE Mode in Edge


Enable IE Mode in Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.

  2. In the address bar, type:
    edge://settings/defaultbrowser
    and press Enter.

  3. Under "Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode", select:
    "Allow" from the dropdown.

  4. Click Restart to apply the change.


Add a Site to IE Mode in Edge

  1. Go to:
    edge://settings/defaultbrowser

  2. Under "Internet Explorer mode pages", click "Add".

  3. Enter the full URL:
    https://Sample.com

  4. Click Add.

🔁 This setting will last 30 days unless you manage it via Group Policy (for enterprise use).


🔄 Optional: Reload the Site in IE Mode (Manual)

  1. Navigate to the site in Edge.

  2. Click the three-dot menu (⋯) in the top right.

  3. Choose "Reload in Internet Explorer mode".
